Marc Sewtz
Marc Sewtz is a Senior Software Development Manager in Oracle’s Server Technologies division at Oracle America, Inc. He is responsible for managing the development and delivery of Oracle Application Express (APEX), Oracle’s premiere low-code development platform. Marc has been at Oracle since 1998. After working for Oracle Consulting in Germany and North America, he joined the APEX development team in 2002. Marc and his team have contributed several core components to the product over the years, including the reporting engine, tabular forms, charts, support for mobile user interfaces and extensive work on user interface themes. Marc and his family live in New York City. Marc holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Applied Sciences in Wedel, Germany.

Bo has more than 20 years of experience in Information Technology and began her IT career as a web developer. Dale MacDonald is a Data and Systems Engineering nerd with over a decade of data design, tuning, and esoterica experience. Mr. MacDonald worked in industries as varied as healthcare, construction, and apparel; designed an application used in an Oracle keynote; taught database theory; and uses his experience to save companies large amounts of money. Presently committed to helping Bookbyte.com, the second largest renter on Amazon, as a Data Solutions Architect. In his free time he is concentrated on study and building new designs. Andy Weiss is the Oracle DBA for the PageWide Web Press Big Data team within HP Inc. This group specializes in analysing telemetry data from commercial printing presses to solve complex engineering problems. Tammy Bednar
Tammy has worked in the computer industry for more than 30 years. She started out coding applications in ADA and decided a change was needed. Oracle hired her in the Database Support Organization 23 years ago and she has been involved with database releases since version 6.0.36. Tammy started her product management career on the database High Availability team with Recovery Manager (RMAN), database backup and recovery, and Database Security development team, focusing on auditing, Oracle Audit Vault and Oracle Database Firewall, Oracle Database Appliance and now Database Cloud Services.

Gurmeet Goindi is a master product manager at Oracle Database’s Systems Technology org. Gurmeet is currently the product manager for Exadata Database Machine, hardware and software. Gurmeet is also an evangelist for innovations Oracle is bringing in application aware storage, flash and memory technologies. Andy Colvin has worked with Oracle for nearly 15 years, and has been with the Accenture Enkitec Groups for the past 12 years. Carlos is known by the Oracle community for his invention of some widely used tools such as SQLTXPLAIN (a.k.a. SQLT), and more recently eDB360 (now part of SQLdb360). He has 22 years of experience in Oracle technologies, and has been a speaker on users groups such as: OOW, HOTSOS, RMOUG, IOUG, etc.
Carlos currently works for the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team, where he helps to improve databases services supporting internal OCI operations. Carlos has instrumented the automation of SQL Plan Management, Resource Manager, Maintenance Windows, Space defragmentation, and Sessions management at OCI. He also assists on frequent cases of SQL Tuning.

Rich Niemiec is the current Chief Innovation Officer of Viscosity North America. Rich is an Oracle Ace Director, a world renowned IT Expert, and was a co-founder and the CEO of TUSC, a Chicago-based systems integrator of Oracle-based business solutions started in 1988. Rich has served as President of Rolta TUSC and Rolta EICT.
Rich is the past President of the International Oracle Users Group (IOUG) and the current President of the Midwest Oracle Users Group (MOUG). Rich has architected and tuned many Fortune 500 systems over the past 25 years.
His experience in data processing ranges from teaching to consulting, with emphasis in database administration, performance tuning, project management and technical education. Liron Amitzi
Liron Amitzi is an Oracle ACE and a senior Oracle DBA with over 18 years of experience. Tim Gorman has worked in IT with relational databases since 1984, as an Oracle PRO*C and PL/SQL application developer since 1990, as an Oracle DBA since 1993, and managing/designing very large data warehouses on Oracle since 1994. Jared Still has been an Oracle DBA in health insurance and manufacturing environments since 1994 (and version 7.0.13 of Oracle). He first began dabbling with Perl in 1993 and it was love at first sight. Perl became an integral part of his Oracle toolkit when it was used to rapidly prototype and implement complex reporting based on data in Oracle databases. Jared has been working with databases of various ilks since 1988, and along the way has also worked as a Unix system administrator. When not riding herd on the databases at the OK Corral, he likes to spend time tinkering on his car, fly fishing, or sitting on the deck in the backyard at his home doing absolutely nothing. Jeremiah Wilton has over eighteen years of Oracle administration and architecture experience. He works very closely with partners like Oliver Wight to provide IBP and S&OP education at the Edge Solution Center. John was previously at CAS, where John severed as the Senior Solution Architect. Ed Whalen
is an Oracle ACE and the Chief Technologist at Performance Tuning Corporation (www.perftuning.com), a consulting company specializing in database performance, administration, virtualization and disaster recovery solutions with over 20+ years of experience.
